Position: Manager, Info Security Operations
Location: North York, ON (onsite 2 days per week)
Type: Full Time, Permanent
Our client, a leader in the healthcare insurance industry, is currently seeking a Manager, Info Security Operations to join their team. You will be responsible for managing a SOC team and deliver successful projects.

Role :
- Provides technical expertise and guides the administration of security tools that control and monitor information security.
- Provides required support during security incidents activities necessary to recover critical data in the event of a declared incident, providing direction and in-house consulting in these areas.
- Ensures that regular vulnerability scans are conducted and followed up on.
- Researches, evaluates, designs, tests, recommends, and plans implementation of new or improved information security software or devices. Analyzes new/enhanced software applications or tools implementations for implications to existing security software and devices
- Provides expert working knowledge of the day-to-day operating environment, available tools, operating techniques, and customer applications.
- Engages with technical and development teams to assist and govern vulnerability management program
- Available for off-business hours and weekends.
- Responsible for training, development and coaching of staff. Ensure Cross training/Knowledge sharing within the team to develop redundancies and backups for all staff
- Drives best practices and continuous improvement of delivery processes, including adherence to Business Protection, Controls and IT Standards/Operations
- Effectively allocates resources to optimize team delivery
- Fosters a climate that supports relationship building and collaboration within the team, with other IT teams and throughout the business, which results in improved alignment and innovation
Requirements:
- University degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience in Enterprise IT environments working in, managing and leading IT Security teams
- Possesses the following designations: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP); Certified Information Security Manager (CISM); Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSKv4); Certificate Cloud Security Professional (CCSP); Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- Demonstrated leadership experience to motivate, build, develop and lead effective teams to achieve results
- Experience in partnering with technology, product and program management teams
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe IT security controls, and influence outcomes in technical decision-making
- Strong problem-solving abilities and abilities to work effectively under pressure
- Clear and effective written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external customers
- An accomplished facilitator with excellent interpersonal and communication skills that support working effectively in multidisciplinary and multiple location team environments
- Highly developed planning, organizing and negotiating skills; can manage multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines and respond to changing priorities
- Ability to travel within Canada
