Allied Universal is currently hiring an Operations Manager that is responsible for staffing, scheduling and processing payroll for all Security Professionals within assigned client sites in the Division or Branch for which the Operations Manager is responsible. Maintains regular communications with Security Professionals, resolving issues regarding pay, morale or complaints. Manages overtime by effective scheduling and making timely, qualified hiring decisions. Takes prompt action to when complaints are received regarding employee performance or conduct, administers disciplinary and coaching actions, and initiates and executes routine termination actions.

- Location – North York, ON
- Pay Rate - $28.00/hour
- Hours – 0800-1630 Monday to Friday (Paid 40 hours per week)
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Day-to-day management of all AUS security services employees assigned to site.
- Operational support for site.
- Development, maintenance and updating of procedures.
- Screen, interview, and onboard new candidates.
- Training, coaching, and mentoring of staff.
- Coordination of all training.
- Standing post as needed to ensure continuity of service.
- Respond to medical and other emergency situations.
- Tracking all scheduled and billable hours.
- Scheduling of all site staff.
- Assisting client Management as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Possess a high school diploma, GED or equivalent, or higher.
- Must be flexible to work alternate shifts as operationally required.
- Possess a valid Ontario Security Guard license and First Aid/CPR + AED.
- Demonstrate the ability to read and write English.
- Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft O365, Teams, and MS Windows.
- Have good computer skills and be able to navigate through internet and basic computer software programs.
- Can verbally communicate in English, particularly in emergency situations requiring clear and definitive articulation to assure confidence, control, and safety of those involved.
- Undergo basic security guard training, on-site training and any additional training as required.
- Not convicted of any crime to the extent a legally permissible background check would reveal.
- Have a valid Ontario G driver’s license and clean drivers abstract.
- Be courteous, articulate, and have the ability to use good judgment.
- Must have a minimum of one of the following: 1 year experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry, or a large multi-function security contract, or military or law enforcement.
- Must be willing to obtain the following vaccinations (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis)
- Energetic and focused personality with a demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines. Must demonstrate a high level of integrity, and apply rules, policies and employment actions in a consistent, fair and equitable manner in all situations;
- Professional, articulate and able to use good independent judgment and discretion;
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required. Must be able to read, write and speak English in a clear, concise manner.
