JOB SUMMARY

Directly Operated Child Care Services is responsible for planning and managing the delivery and operations of Child Care programs and services delivered to the community through the Municipal Child Care Centres.

You are responsible for assisting in the delivery of planned daily activities associated with the Child Care Centre’s programs, and the overall monitoring of children’s activities in providing a healthy and safe environment, in accordance with the Early Years Act, 2014.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Completion of Grade 10

Early Childhood Education Diploma (two year diploma) or an equivalency certificate provided by the Association of Early Childhood Education of Ontario (AECEO) is an asset.

Less than 6 months of experience working with children 6 weeks to 10 years of age in a group setting such as a summer camp, recreational program, a field placement or child care centre.

Must meet requirements of the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 as defined by the Ministry of Education

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENCES

Current Standard First Aid, CPR and/or AED certificates
