Job description
We are currently seeking a dedicated Service Supervisor to join our team, reporting directly to the Service Manager. This pivotal role involves coaching and supervising Technicians across our Fort MacKay branch as well as at various customer sites. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical background, outstanding leadership qualities, and exceptional communication skills. As a Service Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of service and operational excellence that our company is known for.
Responsibilities
- Supervise Electrical and Mechanical Technicians.
- Ensure technicians are following all safety policies and procedures for the site and Liebherr.
- Assist and provide input on all customer job scopes.
- Maintain accurate inventory of onsite Liebherr tools.
- Monitor and control cost-effective purchasing of all consumables.
- Provide leadership, support, and representation for all site technicians.
- Work closely with customer requests and concerns.
- Prepare and implement equipment maintenance program (work with Service Manager).
- Assign all work orders and jobs to technicians and monitor time-in and time-out on jobs.
- Distribute and provide support for all technical improvement and service bulletins to technicians.
- Supervise and oversee all contractors performing work on Liebherr equipment.
Competencies
- Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician Certificate or equivalent considered an asset.
- Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in heavy equipment, mining, or a related field.
- Strong computer and administrative skills.
- Strong organizational and project planning skills.
- Proven diagnostic skills.
- Positive leadership abilities.
