Stone Age Marble & Granite LTD is a stone countertop manufacturer located in the heart of Victoria, BC. Using a combination of state-of-the-art technology and careful hand crafting, we transform exotic marbles, granites, porcelains and engineered quartz into beautiful countertops, floors & walls. We are the leading manufacturer on Vancouver Island and looking forward to hiring both new and experienced. As a machine operator, you will be responsible for programming, operating & maintaining the waterjet, CNC mill & bridge saw. All training will be provided but experience is an asset. Daily tasks include: -Interpreting/modifying 2.5D drawings -Using AutoCAD, FLOWPATH & EASYSTONE to create machine programs -Loading & unloading the machines with minimal downtime -Moving & cleaning pieces within the shop, getting them ready for installation -Inspecting, cleaning & maintaining the machines as necessary Requirements: -Computer literate -Fluent in English -Comfortable with the imperial measurement system & fractions -Reliable to work Monday through Friday 7:30am - 4pm -Strong body, able to bend, lift & crouch Stone Age Marble offers competitive wages, starting at $25/hour with yearly raises & bonuses per performance.
