THE OPPORTUNITY

Looking to work in the Okanagan and Lower Mainland BC doing what you love at a dynamic and innovative consulting firm? We are looking for a Structural Technologist to join our team at our Chilliwack, Surrey or Kelowna location on a permanent full-time basis. Our preferred candidate will have a Civil/Structural Engineering Technologist Diploma / Certificate from an accredited university or college.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Understanding and accurately translating engineering sketches and markups into properly documented drawings
• Design management and preparation of structural design drawings using AutoCAD
• Liase with Clients, Architects, Developers and Contractors
• Coordinate and communicate with project engineer and design team
• Other related duties as assigned.
  

QUALIFICATIONS

• Civil/Structural Engineering Technologist Diploma / Certificate from an accredited university or college
• Certified, or be eligible to certify, with ASTTBC;
• Minimum 2 years' experience in structural engineering or related field;
• Extensive knowledge of drafting using AutoCAD
• Knowledge of Revit Structure Suite would be an asset;
• Experience developing structural details for connections and framing
• Familiarity with the material codes and standard details;
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills along with exceptional time management skills;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
