Job description

Sales Executive - Crown Surface Solutions - Vancouver, BC, Canada (Hybrid)

About the job

Behind every great interior, there is a team of inspired and passionate professionals, devoted to bringing beautiful, functional designs to life. To do this well, they need the right products. That’s where we come in.

Who Are We?

Crown Surface Solutions is a proudly Canadian distributor sourcing innovative, architectural surface solutions. Since our founding more than 80 years ago, we have evolved from our retail wallpaper roots to today's focus on interior architectural products supporting both the contract and residential design industries with sales representation across Canada.

We take pride in being a one stop source for our principal customers: architects and designers. We save them time and simplify their work, translating their design and brand visions into curated selections of products that fit their unique needs across multiple categories.

Now, we’re looking for two new Account Executives to join our team and continue this great work.

What You’ll Be Doing:

This is a true business development role, in which you will leverage your contract interiors experience and established network of architects and designers to find, develop, and actively secure opportunities for our products to be specified on projects.

By developing and deepening existing relationships with architects, designers, and developers through high quality interactions, you will uncover and gain access to their projects.

Once engaged in a project, you will work closely with customers to understand their visions and present product selections to solve their design problems.

Here’s some of what you’ll be doing:

· Take over an existing territory (Vancouver), with an active list of projects

· Call on customers and leverage existing relationships to uncover new sales opportunities and gain an in-depth knowledge of project needs

· Achieve at least 4 quality interactions with customers per day

· Review and understand the design vision and details for the application of architectural products on each project

· Review, understand, and manage the scheduling requirements of each project

· Coordinate with the CAD technician to convey customer design concepts, and translate into architectural drawings when needed

· Provide product samples to customers

· Consult with suppliers regarding the design and specifications of projects

· Work with the customer service team to prepare proposals or quotations

· As required (for some, but not all, product lines) upon project award, coordinate workshop drawings development and approval process with suppliers and the customer

· Occasionally, as required, be on site during product installation process to provide guidance to the contractor on proper product application

The very best in this role do more than present our products and hope for the best. They create opportunities for success through their exceptional relationship building skills and industry experience.

They are a source of knowledge, able to expertly communicate how our products solve our customers’ problems on multiple levels. They are organized, independent, and self-disciplined, and bring a genuine desire to make their customers’ lives easier.
