Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of invoices, reconciliation of accounts, and maintaining positive relationships with vendors. The Accounts Payable Clerk will play a key role in ensuring the financial integrity of the organization by adhering to established processes and collaborating with various departments.

Responsibilities
Receive, review, and process a high volume of invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
Ensure that all invoices are properly coded, approved, and entered into the accounting system
Communicate with vendors to resolve inquiries, discrepancies, and payment-related issues.
Maintain positive relationships with vendors while upholding the organization's payment terms.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
Collaborate with internal teams to address any discrepancies in a timely manner.

Prepare and process electronic payments (ACH, wire transfers, and checks) in accordance with payment schedules.
Verify payment accuracy and completeness before finalizing transactions.
Accurately input and maintain financial data in the accounting system.
Perform routine data entry tasks with a high level of precision.
Assist in maintaining organized and up-to-date financial records, including filing and archiving of documents.
Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
Generate reports related to accounts payable activities as requested by management.
Provide insights and analysis on payables data as needed.
Assist in special projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor or finance management.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or finance is an asset.
Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role.
Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Office applications.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial regulations.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
High level of ethics and integrity in handling confidential financial information.
