Job description
Treasury Analyst
Our client is currently seeking an experienced Treasury Analyst to join their team in Calgary. The successful candidate will be responsible for company’s cash management in a multi-entity and multi-currency environment. The role requires significant involvement in foreign exchange transactions, and the applicant is required to work with the bank representatives regularly.
Your success will be defined by your ability to: - Provide leadership, coaching, and training to the corporate accounting and account payables team.
- Lead the monthly and annual close process.
- Optimize cash balances in multiple bank accounts in various currencies.
- Formulate strategy on amounts held in various currencies based on upcoming receivables, payables.
- Monitor financial performance against loan covenants.
- Preparation of weekly cash flow forecast.
- Record and post bank account transactions
- Prepare the bank reconciliation and other month end GL reconciliations.
- Process and issue manual cheque and wire payments.
- Administer the company’s corporate card platform.
- Increase knowledge of the HSE Policy and Manual
Your strengths include: - Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent and 5+ years’ treasury experience
- CPA designation is a must.
- Must have experience with cash flow forecasting and FX management.
- A strong work ethic and a high level of personal integrity and confidentiality.
- Proficient in Excel and able to easily navigate several online banking platforms.
