The Firm
A growing architectural design build firm (20+ people) specialized in condo, residential homes, retail & commercial projects seeks an experienced architectural technologist to join their team.  

You Possess

• A diploma in architectural technology or bachelor of architecture degree  
• 7+ years post graduate work experience; 5+ years work experience navigating the Ontario Building Code in the design of commercial, retail, condo and custom homes
• Preference to candidates with 50-50% mix of condo/residential design versus commercial projects  
• A portfolio of projects that demonstrates a solid understanding of building science detail (beams, columns, trusses, air vapor barriers); millwork details a plus
• The ability to hand-sketch basic build science details; tested during interview    
• Strong AutoCAD skills & some proficiency in Revit 
• Project coordination experience across multiple stakeholders and subconsultants       
• A car & desire to work collaboratively every day in an office   
• Strong communication skills; ability to express oneself well in English and experience interacting with clients: dealing with RFIs, SIs, change orders, shop drawings and addendums
