Job description
Construction Manager
Our client is searching for a Construction Manager to join their team. This role will be responsible for overall direction, employee relations, negotiating and hiring, completion of specific projects and more. A successful candidate will be the point of expertise for all department’s knowledge in all matters concerning the company.
Your success will be defined by your ability to: - Lead the planning and implementation of project
- Plan and schedule project timelines and provide all daily reports
- Negotiate and co-ordinate sub-trades and ensure they are all on the approved vendor listing
- Define project tasks and resource requirements
- Assemble and coordinate project staff
- Manage project budget and project resource allocations
- Assure, implement and enforce all HSE requirements
Your strengths include: - Be a Professional Engineer registered with APEGA
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or civil Engineering is an asset
- 10+ years of industrial and commercial/ institutional construction experience
- Estimating and project management experience within the 10 years of experience
- Proficient with contract law and contract administration
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- Effective communication skills / employee-employer liaison
- Effective and professional communicator with a high focus on detail
