Job description


On their behalf, we are seeking an Administrative Assistant to support their Business Manager on a part-time basis! This opportunity offers a flexible schedule and a rewarding work environment within a tight-knit team. Your role is crucial in managing the day-to-day operations of their office, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with and supporting the members of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary.


Key Responsibilities:


• Manage everyday office tasks to support their team and members.
• Handle accounts receivable and payable, along with general ledger entries.
• Process and upload invoices and keep track of payments in the accounting system.
• Organize and plan meetings and events, including scheduling and preparing agendas.
• Provide property management support, answer phone calls, respond to emails, and draft various documents.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:


• A diploma in business administration, office administration or related field.
• 2+ years’ experience in office administration or an office environment. Experience performing accounting tasks and duties is preferred.
• Strong skills in MS Office and database applications such as Simply Accounting.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.
• High degree of integrity and proven ability to manage confidential information.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enjoys building meaningful working relationships.
