Around the globe, we help cities and industries manage, optimize and make the most of their resources. We provide an array of solutions related to water, energy and materials to promote a cleaner more sustainable world for all of us.

The collective expertise and passion of our people, combined with a broad portfolio of over 10,000 technologies, makes us uniquely positioned to deliver solutions that positively impact the environment. Come be part of something special - start your journey today!

Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions (VWTS) is a worldwide leader in water recovery, treatment, and reuse. We design, supply, and operate a range of water systems - from food and beverage applications, to municipal water, to microelectronics ultrapure water and heavy industrial wastewater treatment. Our portfolio includes chemicals & monitoring solutions, start-up & operation, membrane & ion exchange products, and custom engineered equipment.

The Application Engineering & Bid Management (AE&BM) team, alongside Sales and Process Engineering, is responsible for developing successful water & waste treatment solutions for our customers. Working in a diverse team across time zones and continents, they own the bid - from customer engagement and lead qualification, through system design, costing and proposal development, to contract negotiation and handover to Engineering.

The role of Bid Operations Leader (BOL) has been created to support the AE&BM team by developing or improving the processes, systems, tools and end-product-work needed to respond to our customer's needs. The BOL will lead initiatives to analyse and improve the way we work, using their resourcefulness and problem solving abilities to effect meaningful change. The BOL will also own the operational rhythms of the team, consolidating and reporting performance and pipeline data to inform decision-making. The BOL is a key partner to the Director of Application Engineering & Bid Management, assisting with the leadership and accountability of the overall AE&BM organisation.

As Bid Operations Leader, you have a broad licence to develop, manage or adapt work processes and tools. The role requires a willingness to understand and improve the systems used by the AE&BM team, including:
The BOL will also evaluate how our proposals and products are received by customers - streamlining submittals; prioritising speed, clarity and simplicity; and ensuring customer feedback is internalised and acted upon.

The successful BOL is able to critically evaluate processes, communicate a vision, rally a team, and adapt to change. They can handle multiple shifting demands and hurdles with professionalism, good judgement and humour. A background in Program Management, Engineering or Business Operations would be an asset.

Ultimately, the BOL is accountable to the team they serve - success in this position is determined by the AE&BM team's ability to do work more quickly, at higher quality and with repeatability.
