Job description

Our client, a Canadian Manufacturer, is looking to hire an experienced controls technician for their plant in Barrie Ontario.

In this role, you will support the design, build, diagnosis and repair of the electrical and control components of automation equipment being used on the production line.

Duties and Tasks of this Position:

· PLC and HMI programming, implementation, troubleshooting

· Robotic build, setup and programming

· Setup of end of arm tools (EOAT)

· Diagnose and fix electrical, control and basic pneumatic issues

· Basic maintenance of automation equipment and conveyor systems

Experience/Skills Required:

· Diploma or degree in electrical or mechatronics engineering or related field

· 4+ years experience designing, building and supporting the electrical and control aspects of automation equipment

· Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams etc.

· Experience programming AB, Omron and / or Siemens PLCs

· Experience programming Fanuc and / or Kuka Robots

· Experience working with various power tools and equipment

· Day Shift, Monday – Friday
