Job description


The Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement supplies services to the public and other ministries that support efforts to build the economy and make a better life for all Saskatchewan people. Services include central property management services including government buildings, accommodations, transportation, and information technology.

The Information Technology Division (ITD), Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement is responsible for setting government wide policies and standards in IT infrastructure, support services, security, telecommunications, and citizen service delivery.

The Information Technology Division (ITD) is expanding the Cybersecurity & Risk Management Branch, which coordinates and manages IT security for the Government of Saskatchewan.

The Cybersecurity and Risk Management/Information Security Branch is looking for a highly analytical, and outstanding communicator to join the team as a Cyber Security Analyst. Reporting to the Manager of Information Security, the Cyber Security Analyst will work directly with ministries in executive government, service providers, third-party vendors and business areas [customers] on projects to effectively incorporate security controls, implementing technology solutions into the existing landscape at Government of Saskatchewan.

Typically, the knowledge required for this position would be attained through a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Systems, Engineering and or related field, supplemented with minimum two years of Information Security experience managing cyber security, preferably having hands-on IAM/PAM solutions and Active Directory Infrastructure.
