Job description
Trevor Frances Recruitment is representing a client in the steel fabrication and welding industry. Were seeking a meticulous and customercentric Senior Construction Estimator to join their team.
Responsibilities:
Collecting pertinent documents and analyzing specifications.
Meeting clients and inspecting sites to understand project requirements.
Determining total project costs for materials equipment and labor.
Obtaining multiple quotes and negotiating with service providers.
Drafting proposals and meeting with clients to discuss offers.
Preparing estimates setting work hours and sequencing tasks.
Ensuring timely submission of documents and budgets.
Reporting project status and managing risks effectively.
Staying updated on estimating technology and industry practices.
Collaborating with project teams and stakeholders.
Requirements:
Degree in engineering architecture construction management or related field.
Project management qualification (PMP) preferred.
Extensive experience as an estimator in construction.
Strong time management multitasking and interpersonal skills.
Excellent management and negotiation abilities.
Ability to collaborate closely with project teams and stakeholders.
Proficiency in research proposal writing and oral presentation.
Thorough knowledge of industry practices and standards.
Ability to forecast costs for complex building developments.
Familiarity with technical and nontechnical documents.
Dependable conscientious and articulate.
