As an Operations Strategist, you will perform business studies and lead projects that promote continuous improvements within Parks and Open Spaces. You will conduct reviews of business processes, audits of operation services and processes, and manage projects for the business unit as well as the division. Primary duties include:
- Gather and analyze operational, performance measurement, and asset management (AM) information from various portfolios within Parks and Open Spaces for consolidation into the asset and performance reporting systems and processes.
- Lead further development, implementation, and review of Parks Customer Level of Service (CLOS) model and CLOS based operations planning.
- Champion and support the evolution of AM practices and CLOS within Parks and Open Spaces.
- Support the development, implementation, and review of Parks AM and CLOS best practices, technology and data strategies.
- Provide AM and CLOS consultation, advice, coaching and mentoring to ensure continued AM success.
- Facilitate change management processes for the successful implementation of new programs and business processes.
- Monitor and report on division/business unit performance measures and various AM and CLOS initiatives.
Qualifications - A degree in Business, Planning, Engineering or a related field plus a minimum of 4 years' experience in at least two of the following areas: asset management, business process review, change management, and/or strategic and performance reporting.
- Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.
- Applicants must have a good understanding of asset management, information technology and organizational process review and improvement.
- Preference will be given to applicants who have experience working in a politically sensitive environment with multiple interested parties.
- Success in this position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with strong organizational ability.
- The ability to deliver on priorities through effective consultation and the development of relationships is essential for this role.
