Hope Restored Canada is a Saskatoon-based organization that exists to provide support to individuals who have been sexually exploited and trafficked. They are a safe space for resources and support without judgment. HRC’s mandate is to address the diverse recovery needs of sexually exploited and trafficked women, trans women, and Two Spirit individuals as they exit their lives of abuse. The Executive Director is accountable to the Board and is responsible in the areas of leadership, governance, fiscal responsibility, strategic planning and reporting, board relations, organizational management, communications and community relations, fundraising, and the welfare of staff and volunteers. You will provide effective, efficient, and ethical leadership in both the establishment and actualization of the vision, mission, and strategic priorities established by the board of directors. You are a great fit for this role if you passionate about providing a safe space for exploited and trafficked individuals that includes multi-faceted educational / trauma-informed healing programs, cultural education, and skill building to see them move forward to a bright future.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

· Provide leadership in all matters regarding the programs and services of the organization.

· Demonstrate prudent and sound management of all organizational funds.

· Operationalize and implement the strategic plan.

· Establish and maintain positive, respectful, professional working relations with the board.

· Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, regulations, articles, bylaws, and policies.

· Participate actively in community affairs in order to enhance and support the organization’s mission.

· Develop, implement and/or participate in innovative and interactive fundraising activities as directed and/or approved by the board of directors.

· Ensure that staff and volunteers are provided with a safe working environment that fosters and maintains respectful and responsible behaviours.

· Ensure that an appropriate environment and controls are established and maintained to ensure high levels of privacy, confidentiality and security for client and program participant and organizational data and information.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:

· A Post-Secondary Education focusing on social work or accounting, or similar.

· Five plus years working in a Leadership role. Experience as an Executive Director is an asset.

· Experience working with a not-for-profit organization in a management or volunteer capacity with an understanding of working with a Board of Directors

· Grant writing skills are an asset.

Skills and Competencies:

· Skilled leader of both staff and volunteers, with experience in Human Resources and a focus to empower, mentor, and motivate.

· Dynamic and versatile communication skills, written and verbal.

· Ability to assess situations as a problem-solver and can provide solutions.

· Proactive, strong organizational skills, able to prioritize.

· Ability to provide consistent support while also adapting as required.

· Strong financial acumen.
