Job description
Our client is seeking Canadian trained Lawyers, to relocate to the United States to join their leading law firm with a strong reputation for excellence and innovation. As an Associate, you will work closely with experienced attorneys on complex legal matters related to global project, energy, and infrastructure finance. This role offers an excellent opportunity to further develop your skills and expertise in a challenging and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and provide analysis on various aspects of project finance, energy, natural resources, infrastructure, and private equity matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and transactional documents.
- Assist in due diligence processes and prepare legal opinions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and effective legal support to clients.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and legal developments relevant to project finance, energy, natural resources, infrastructure, and private equity sectors.
- Assist senior attorneys in managing client relationships and developing new business opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Strong academic credentials, including high law school grades.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in project finance, energy, natural resources, infrastructure, and private equity, preferably at a top-tier law firm.
- Excellent understanding of relevant legal principles and regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Proactive mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
