Job description
What you’ll do:
Collaborating closely with the TGP Marketing team, the Communications & Brand Advisor assumes responsibility for establishing, maintaining, and protecting the ‘voice’ associated with the TGP brand; conducts research to gain consumer and market insights, prepares strategic briefs and assists with developing action plans that clearly convey the business unit strategic objectives and supporting tactics.
- Be a storyteller : Conceptualize, investigate, and produce content that differentiates TGP, and spotlights our community of independent retailers, TGP Food Service and Wholesale Markets through a range of communication and media channels (internal and external) such as email, newsletters, websites, social media platforms, press releases, presentations, videos, speeches, and articles.
- Lead in creating content that promotes TGP, the independent story and builds brand credibility, including soliciting contributions, editing, researching, writing, producing, and deploying content to targeted audiences within a fixed budget and in alignment with set strategic priorities.
- Research, plan, write, produce, and prepare communications materials that support and improve communication between functional areas and with external stakeholders; Provide advice, coaching and support to both internal teams and external clients around communication tools and best practices, brand standards and formatting.
- Presentation materials - develop, prepare, and maintain, presentation materials, slide decks and document templates to consistently support the growth of our TGP brand, tone, and desired image.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Strategy & Communications and:
- Have a post-secondary degree in business, communications, public relations, a related discipline.
- Have 3- 6 years of experience in the creation of internal and external marketing and communications materials.
- Have a good understanding of the latest trend, technologies and methodologies in communication, publication, design, and digital and social media marketing. Strong writing, editing, and design skills.
- Have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; word, excel, etc. experience managing and creating content for social media platforms.
- Proficiency in photography, videography, and use of graphic design software (Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and InDesign), experience updating web content via CMS. maintaining a website or familiarity with basic (html) code considered an asset.
