Elevate Your Career in the Insurance World!! Are you ready to take your career in insurance to new heights? Our client is seeking a Claims Administrator for their Etobicoke location. This is where your journey to professional growth begins!

The Claims Administrator is responsible for administering the eligibility for the processing of member claims ensuring the members are “in benefit”, accurately handling premium payments and transfers, and providing excellent customer service with every member and/or provider interaction.

Claims Administrator Responsibilities:
•Applies established policies and procedures to verify member eligibility.
•Ensures all data and details are accurately entered promptly into the claims administration system.
•Allocates and moves members into appropriate plans as required (e.g., moves retired member from active to a pensioner or retiree profile).
•Prepares and issues out-of-benefit letters where members no longer meet criteria for participation in a benefit plan or benefit category.
•Administers and processes the checks for member premium payments.
•Receives member checks or processes EFT withdrawals and cashes into appropriate trust funds in situations where a member owes payment for a benefit.
•Processes accurate vacation payments by gathering the necessary paperwork and ensuring all member details are updated in the claim administration system.
•Provides accurate and timely assistance to members and clients concerning eligibility for their hours/dollar banks.

Claims Administrator Qualifications:
•Experience in a financial administrative role is beneficial
•Previous experience dealing with unions or Third-Party Administrators is an asset
•Intermediate to advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, Teams and PDFs
•Proficiency with numbers and strong general math skills
•Ability to read and interpret rules regarding benefit plans and policies
•Ability to prioritize work and complete tasks with minimal supervision
•Must have 1-2 years of work experience in an employee benefits or third-party administrator

Other Details: 
•Location: Etobicoke 
•Hybrid work model
•3 weeks of vacation
•$42,000 - $50,000
