Job description
LeverageTek is actively seeking a Senior Manager, Applications Development and Maintenance for a permanent position with its Ottawa-based customer.
Work Location
The successful candidate will be required to work on-site at the customer headquarters in Ottawa, ON on a hybrid basis.
Security Requirement
Must be eligible for a Government of Canada Enhanced Reliability Clearance.
Key Tasks
- Plan, coordinate, and manage the development and/or implementation of new applications, systems software, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the organization
- Manage and ensure the application portfolio meets the business requirements, systems goals and fulfills end-user requirements, including but not limited to acquisition/development, implementation, support, and upgrades
- Lead the Solution Architecture and Design phases of the software implementation projects and provide technical leadership to project managers and software developers
Key Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in managing a team of IT professionals within a business applications development/support environment
- Experience managing, planning, developing, deploying, implementing and supporting enterprise-wide systems and applications
- Expertise in systems architecture design, systems analysis, data administration, software engineering
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience in executing software development lifecycle
- Experience in personnel administration
- Experience in budget administration
- Experience in providing advice and support in the field of IT standards, strategies, and practices
- Experience developing and managing IT contracts and consulting services
- Client focus, organizational knowledge, innovation, teamwork, and leadership
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
