Job description

This is a contract position for a Technology Architect for our public sector client.
Work location: Downtown Toronto
Duration: Twelve Months
7.25 hours/day
This is a Hybrid role that requires the candidate to be onsite 3 days of the week (This is a mandatory requirement of the role and is non-negotiable outside of exceptional circumstances.)

Responsibilities
- Enabling and designing the Government of Ontario's clouds primarily Azure, AWS.
- Designing and configuring advance security for existing and new cloud providers.
- Assist with complex migration from on premise to the public cloud providers.
- Assist in updating and creating provisioning pipelines the Government Cloud offerings by writing and maintain a provisioning code base for infrastructure delivery as well as data gathering\reporting.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience enabling and designing the Government of Ontario's clouds primarily Azure, AWS but some experience with Oracle and Google cloud technology would be useful. This experience would need be with Cloud environments that are of the same scale as the Government of Ontario Cloud or BPS environments.

- Demonstrated experience of working with customers/key stakeholders and using communication skills to resolve operational issues, negotiate or document process related intelligence.
- Demonstrated experience with troubleshooting and resolving Azure/AWS/GCP/Oracle Cloud environments incidents and working with vendor partners.
