Job Overview: We invite applications for the position of Sour Plant Operator from individuals with a deep-rooted expertise in sour gas plant operations. With at least five years of relevant experience, the incumbent should be equipped to handle the unique challenges presented by sour fields and display unwavering commitment to safety and efficiency.
Shift Schedule: 7 days on (12-hour shifts), 7 days off
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee, operate, and monitor oil and gas facilities, ensuring their efficient functioning and strict adherence to safety standards.
- Continuously evaluate and optimize sour gas plant operations to maximize production.
- Safeguard against hazardous exposure by meticulously managing sour natural gas oil.
- Undertake routine inspections, maintenance activities, and execute minor repairs on field equipment.
- Act promptly and decisively during emergency situations, ensuring effective coordination with all concerned parties.
- Diligently document and report operational specifics, including but not limited to production volumes and maintenance tasks.
- Work cohesively with team members to identify, address, and rectify operational and technical challenges.
- Adhere to all organizational policies and relevant regulatory guidelines to foster a secure and efficient operational environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of robust experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
- Demonstrable experience in the operation and maintenance of oil and gas facilities, especially in sour fields.
- Comprehensive understanding of sour natural gas oil management, emphasizing safety protocols and industry best practices.
- Aptitude for problem-solving and resolving operational challenges promptly and effectively.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to adhere to the rotational shift pattern, inclusive of extended working hours.
- Minimum 3rd class power engineering certificate.
- Possession of any other pertinent certification or license as mandated by local regulations will be viewed favorably.
Physical Requirements:
- Capability to work under varied outdoor conditions, including extreme weather scenarios.
- Physical resilience to undertake strenuous activities such as lifting, climbing, and bending.
