Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Operations Project Manager to oversee retrofit and upgrade projects for data centers. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning and scoping to execution and closure. Your primary objective will be to ensure that retrofit and upgrade projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Scoping:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
Resource Management:
- Identify resource requirements and allocate personnel accordingly.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors to procure materials and services.
- Manage project budgets and expenditures, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints.
Project Execution:
- Lead project teams in the implementation of retrofit and upgrade activities.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, milestones, and risks.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between project teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Address stakeholder concerns and resolve conflicts in a timely and effective manner.
Quality Assurance:
- Establish quality standards and ensure adherence to them throughout the project.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with specifications and requirements.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project efficiency and quality.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and reports.
- Generate periodic progress reports and performance metrics for stakeholders and management.
- Document lessons learned and best practices for future reference and improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in data center operations or construction.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, etc.).
- Familiarity with data center infrastructure, HVAC systems, electrical systems, and related technologies is desirable.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
