Job Summary
Reporting to the Technical Support & Training Director, and the European Training Manager the selected applicant will be responsible for the creation and coordination of our global training content.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Create and/or coordinate the creation of content for the online learning portal and the instructor led training sessions in line with new product releases
- Keep up to date the roadmap of upcoming courses modifications in collaboration with the Technical Support & Training Director and the European Training Manager.
- Keep the learning portal content, user groups, courses categories, etc. up to date based on the approved chart.
- Be part of the project manager meetings to update the deployment readiness plan to gather information about upcoming products to be able to support the training updates accordingly
- Ensuring that trainers and technical support agents are kept to date with the upcoming new products and solutions by creating an environment to test new training solutions
- Collaborate with product managers, program managers, technical trainers, and technical support agents to gather the information and feedback required to keep our training up to date and valuable.
- Deploy new training content to our technical trainers to support our new product introduction
- Work with the training teams to setup the workstations and software that is required to provide the training
- Be proactive by improving the available tools and the internal processes within the department.
- Ensure the training facilities are fully equipped for training sessions in our offices.
- Stay up to date with new technologies and products in the field related to the Distech controls product line.
Skills and Minimum Experience Required
- Practical Training/Trainer Qualifications required
- University degree or Technical Certificate in HVAC/Controls or any other relevant experience in technical training.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills
- Structured and well organized
- Capable of giving presentations in front of large crowds
- Courteous with a positive attitude
- Proactive, autonomous and demonstrates Leadership
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
- Resourceful and capable of handling multiple simultaneous tasks
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Bilingual - French and English
