Job description

We are currently recruiting an experienced Product Engineer (Design Release) to join our team supporting our client in the automotive industry.

NOTE:

• Remote
• Must be willing and able to travel to the USA, without restrictions, effective on the start date
• Valid driver's license is required as well as a clean driving record

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, development, advance product & quality planning (APQP), and production release of a system/component within Fuels Systems: Fuel/Urea tanks and fuel/urea delivery modules
• Quality improvements, value optimization, weight reduction, and other efficiency improvement initiatives including communicating technical product status to management.
• Interact with suppliers and will work closely with internal and external groups such as vehicle program team, testing & prototype labs, CAE engineers, supplier operations and manufacturing plants.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering is required.
• 2 - 4 years of design/development automotive engineering experience in Fuel Systems and/or UREA.
• Proficiency in English (write, listen, and speak) is a requirement.
• BSME degree from accredited university/or equivalent is preferred.
• Will consider an internship with Fuel Systems (UREA also considered) as part of that experience.
• Products: Fuel tanks, Urea (SCR) Tanks, Fuel delivery modules, Urea Delivery Modules, Gas and Diesel Filters.
• Self-starter with strong leadership, communication & organizational skills and demonstrated problem solving ability.Effective communication and interpersonal skills

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Automotive product engineering experience.
• Injection molded/Blow molded Fuel/Urea tank design.
• Knowledge of fuel tank virtual simulations is highly recommended.
• Fuel Delivery Module design is recommended.
• Experience with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA).
• Experience with Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R).
• Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) preferred Belt certification.
• General understanding of fasteners/torque.
• General understanding of GD&T.
• General understanding of NX, Teamcenter, PLM.
