Job description
As the Construction Manager you will:
- Provide overall management direction for project planning, scheduling, equipment, material, and human resources, ensuring budget tracking for all segments of construction projects.
- Actively participate in hiring and developing field superintendents and forepersons, monitoring their performance, and contributing to the selection, development, and training of junior field supervisory staff.
- Make informed management decisions regarding construction methods, schedule, quality, and safety.
- Investigate and address labour relations issues impacting construction projects.
- Directly supervise multiple superintendents and oversee the performance of various trades in construction crews.
- Assist in the preparation of estimates and the implementation of project execution plans; attend pre-tender meetings when required.
As the Construction Manager, you will bring:
- 5+ years of experience as an Industrial Construction Manager
- Mining industry experience, ideally in a Potash environment.
- Journeyperson trades certification is an asset.
- Strong commitment to health and safety.
- Ability to work effectively with a wide range of people and personalities and foster strong client and team relationships.
