BACKGROUND
The Burlington Soccer Club (BSC), a not-for-profit organization, was established in 1962. Today, the Clubhas approximately 9,000 youth and adultsoccer players and is one of the largestsoccer clubsin Ontario.The BSC is home to the Burlington Bayhawks and is proud of its competitive team successes over the years, which includes 44 provincial championships and 13 national championships. The Club holds a Canadian National License, Ontario Provincial Development League (OPDL) License, and League 1 Ontario (L1O) Franchise.


POSITION SUMMARY
As part of the administration team and reporting to the Executive Director, this position assists and supports the office's daily administrative tasks. The position assists in general administrative duties, including review of policies and procedures. The role is deadline-driven and time-intensive and requires energetic, highly motivated multi-taskers who are exceptional communicators and organizers and thrive on delivering high-quality customer service.


PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage information flow between the Executive Director and Department Leads, including calendar management and content flow
• Provide administrative and office support, such as meeting minutes, spreadsheet creation, and maintenance of filing system
• Oversee office space calendars, schedule appointments and meetings
• Maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality with all materials
• Review policies, procedures, and employee handbooks and provide suggestions to the Executive Director
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries, whether via email, phone or in-person
• Document customer interactions, when necessary, compiling documents and forwarding them to the appropriate party
• Support and attend club events
• Other tasks may be assigned as required


EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
• Current enrollment in a post-secondary institution
• The candidate must possessinitiative and relationship-building skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Suite of Products
• Strong time management and proficiency skills
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team
• Strong planning and organization skills with the ability to multi-task
• Must have a valid G Driver’s License and access to a vehicle
• Experience working with volunteers

• A comprehensive understanding of the OPDL and Burlington Soccer Club is an asset
