Immediate opening for a full-time, 5th Class Power Engineer with a Boiler Ticket in Richmond, BC!

Our company is merging and our branch will be closing this summer so this would be a temporary 5 month contract (with some change for ongoing permanent role). We are looking for individuals that want to gain quick and valuable experience in this field. We are a plant-based food company that ships most of our products to outside local clients. In this role you would handle alot of packaging machinery and manufacturing lines. We need someone who is looking to work; interested in learning, enjoys working with their hands, asks questions and shows up! Our team needs someone with a large mechanical or electrical background who is ready to start right away!

5 x 8s, 4 x 10s, 3 x 12s
Night Shift/ Full Time Hours
5 month Contract
Is OT Available or Required?: Offered
Wage offered: $45
Boiler Ticket Preferred

Responsibilities
- Ability to prevent, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot equipment on a daily basis
- Provide maintenance on the manufacturing lines and boilers
- Ability to work with other lines of business and communicate with your team
- Can work with industrial boilers, kettles, agitators., pumps, piping, conveyors etc.
- Mechanically inclined with a passion for fixing things even on your own time
- Calibrating equipment and diagnosing problems and scheduled maintenances repairs
- Basic background as a power engineer, open to learning from peers

Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food manufacturing facility preferred
- 5th class power engineering certificate require
- Ability to be moving for most of your day and can lift up to 50lbs
- Mechanical and Electrical background
- As we are a facility that keeps food fresh, some of our areas are refrigerated (we provide all gear).
- Available full time for up to 5 months!
- Located in or around the Richmond, BC area
