Application Support Analyst (MS Dynamics)

Position Description
Location: Atlantic Canada (Stratford PEI, Moncton/Fredericton NB, Halifax NS)

CGI is seeking a dedicated and experienced IT professional to join our team in CGI's Atlantic Business unit, in support of our esteemed Oil and Gas client.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role as an Application Steward, leveraging expertise in MS Dynamics to ensure seamless operations within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for applications, processes, and systems, catering to users, help desk, and peers.
• Take ownership of supporting MS Dynamics applications, liaising with clients on various aspects including:
-Requirements gathering and rationalization
-Onboarding and knowledge transfer
-License Management
-Setup, configuration, and deployment
-Break/fix support
-Facilitating enhancement requests
-Projects impacting MS Dynamics applications
-Retirement of end-of-life applications

• Coordinate change management processes for MS Dynamics applications.
• Identify and analyze problems and trends within MS Dynamics applications, offering insightful recommendations.
• Track project-related tasks and time allocations.
• Escalate risks or issues as necessary.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Competencies:
• Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proactive in addressing challenges and seeking innovative solutions.
• Exceptional English written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in problem-solving with a strong collaborative mindset.
• Knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry is a plus.

Skills:
• Proficiency in MS Dynamics 365 and X++.
• Previous experience in application support is advantageous.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting in multiple operating systems:
-Windows 10
-Windows Server
-Linux
-iOS
• Competence in Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes.
• Understanding of integrated systems and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
• Familiarity with version control systems.
• Basic SQL skills, including querying databases, understanding stored procedures, and triggers.
• Ability to produce technical requirements documentation.
• Knowledge of various testing methods.
• Awareness of information security principles and best practices.
