Adecco is partnering with our client, a mid-sized company with 30 tax specialists and plenty space for growth, seeking a skilled Tax Manager to manage our clients tax department in Oakville, ON. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our company's tax compliance, strategy, and planning. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of Canadian tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles, and will provide expert guidance on tax-related issues to ensure compliance and maximize tax efficiency for the organization.

Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement effective tax strategies to minimize the company's tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
· Oversee and manage the preparation and filing of all tax returns, including corporate, sales, property, and other tax-related filings.
· Conduct thorough research on tax issues, stay updated on changing tax laws, and provide guidance to internal stakeholders to ensure tax compliance and optimization.
· Collaborate with external tax advisors and auditors to address complex tax matters and audits.
· Analyze financial data to identify opportunities for tax planning and optimization.
· Provide guidance on tax implications for business decisions, such as mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring.
· Maintain and foster positive relationships with tax authorities, responding to inquiries and audits as necessary.
· Supervise and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing leadership and guidance.
Qualifications:
· Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree or CPA designation is highly preferred.
· 5+ years of progressive experience in tax management or a related field.
· In-depth knowledge of Canadian tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Proven leadership and team management skills.
· Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
