Job Summary

Reporting to the Manager of Finance, the Financial Analyst plays an integral role in month end, quarterly, year-end, seasonal and ad hoc reporting for various users of financial information (Executive Leadership, Finance and Audit Committee, Director of Finance, Department Heads). The incumbent must understand and facilitate the integration of business processes, people, and relevant technology in order to identify, configure and communicate useful information and provide practical business leadership to drive business excellence for decision making across the organization.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

• CPA designation
• Minimum of three years accounting and/or finance experience, preferably in the health care system
• Experience in executing detailed financial and statistical analysis
• Strong negotiation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including advanced Excel skills
• Self-starter, with the ability to complete assignments accurately and on time
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
• Understanding of the Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS)
• Satisfactory employment record
• Must be able to legally work in Canada

Preferred:

• A bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
• Demonstrated cost benefit analysis experience

Asset

• Knowledge of Great Plains
• Experience working or volunteering in a healthcare environment
• Ability to speak French
