Job description
We are looking for a People + Culture Manager to join our team at the AME Group. The ideal candidate will have experience in HR or employee recruitment , with a thorough understanding of HR policies and procedures. The bulk of the role will involve employee orientations, benefits administration, compensation, rewards, and conflict resolution, and there is great opportunity for developing and refining systems. Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and delivery of strategic HR plans that fit with the overall business direction, goals, and objectives.
- Act as the primary point of contact to all employees in the areas of employee relations, change management, performance management, employee engagement and best practices.
- Coordinate employer branding efforts and initiatives to position company as a desirable place to work.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment including attending interviews, processing employment contracts, and conducting employee on-boarding.
- Lead initiatives on creating a Diverse and Inclusive work environment.
- Develop and update standard hiring procedures so that they are consistent company-wide, as well as provide training, guidance, and support to managers on effective hiring practices.
- Champion the on-boarding process by ensuring that it's high-quality and up to date and provide clarity and connection for employees so their roles serve the overall business vision.
- Manage employee records and ensure compliance.
- Coordinate annual benefits renewal process.
- Maintain and enhance employee benefits programs, including compensation, health insurance, expense reimbursement, and vacation.
- Coordinate annual salary benchmarking and salary review process.
- Manage the annual performance review process with all Directors and Principals.
- Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human-resources policies and procedures.
- Assist the leadership team in developing employee engagement initiatives, workshops and trainings, reward and recognition strategies, and retention strategies.
- Manage off-boarding, including voluntary and involuntary terminations of employment.
- Lead all Health and Safety initiatives and policy updates and creation in keeping with provincial legislative requirements, including Workers' Compensation claims management and accommodations.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with a major in Human Resources or Business Administration, or a related degree.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in human resource roles, with minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory role.
- Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) Designation would be an asset.
- Strong understanding of applicable legislation and standards (e.g . Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code ), preferably for BC and Alberta.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel are required.

Compensation:
- $90,000 - 100,000 per year
