POSITION SUMMARY
The Change Management and Organizational Design Lead will play a critical role within the newly established Transformation Management Office (TMO) in the development of change management methodologies, frameworks, and tools for all of SE Health. Reporting to the TMO Lead, the individual will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensuring the organization is equipped with the capabilities and positioned for success for the implementation of our large scale, multi-year transformational program. In support of this transformation, the individual will provide leadership and support to build job design and org design capability including job task/skill/design activities, mapping workflows/processes, and recommending revised design options to support future state structures and/or operating models lead organizational change impact analysis.

The Change Management Lead will be responsible for developing and executing change management and communication plans to support implementation activities. This individual will work closely with the project team, communications partners, leadership, and care providers to ensure awareness and engagement throughout the project. You will have experience leading large and complex organizations through significant change initiatives and have hands on experience in change management, communications, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement. You will work to drive faster adoption of change, increase end user enablement and proficiency, and drive higher utilization and sustainment of changes that impact the organization.  Most importantly, you’ll incorporate an understanding and demonstrated ability to support the psychology of human transition as an aspect of your Change Leadership practice.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Change Management

Steward the Change Management and Adoption

  1. Lead the establishment of change management methodologies, frameworks, and tools across the organization
  2. Provide thought leadership on the best practice of adoption principles and its application (E.g. Approaches for high change adoptions, how to measure and monitor adoption)
  3. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product, experience, and application specialists, clinical SMEs, and principal trainers in the design of comprehensive change management plans to address their unique needs
  4. Assess the organization's readiness for change, identify stakeholders and their roles, and develop a communication plan to relevant stakeholders
  5. Define a resistance mitigation strategy (Identify adopters/detractors stakeholder groups, investigate, and address underlying issues/concerns, establish approach to improve change acceptance for the stakeholders)
  6. Identify methods and approaches to support human transition, including where/when to build in nudges and/or other approaches intended to allay fear and build support for the desired futures state.
  7. Provide Plan and preparation for executives and departmental leaders, including clinical, technical, and business leadership, to align on expectations and desired change outcomes

Enable and Support Changes  

  1. Conduct change impact assessments to identify potential gaps and develop mitigation plans
  2. Rationalize process transformations activities such that they produce tangible productivity and efficiency improvement outcomes
  3. Help stakeholder group develop a deep understanding of the need for change, the urgency of change, and the impact to them and their teams
  4. Manage a change support network including development of agenda, facilitation of working team meetings, and identification of key change readiness activities for champions and change agents
  5. Coach executives, directors, managers, and other key stakeholders to enable their leadership of change management activities
  6. Lead design, delivery and logistics of activities related to stakeholder engagement including managing sessions such as consultations, focus groups, workshops, presentations, and meetings with affected stakeholders
  7. Develop change-related communications strategy and integrated communication plan and oversee execution, including measuring the outcomes to assess effectiveness of the strategy
  8. Provide input, document requirements, and support the design and delivery of training
  9. Collaborate to develop a go-live plan for user support and address any issues that may arise

Monitor and Evaluate Change Sustainability

  1. Develops metrics, monitors, and measures outcomes related to rate of adoption, taking corrective action where required
  2. Prepare reports and presentations as required for leadership and committees
  3. Continuously scanning the environment for ideas, best practices and emerging trends linked to managing change

  1. Help develop enterprise approaches and capabilities with respect to job design, org design, and support our transition to a dynamic skills-based HR operating model
  2. Work with leaders and specialists to identify, understand, and analyze workforce/organizational needs (e.g. Tasks, knowledge, skills) in our current state
  3. Partner with delivery teams and vendors to understand future state, and support the design of new roles and work functions
  4. Assess business process workflows to determine the gaps that needs to be considered between current and revised processes
  5. Associate and map out new workflows with the required skills, knowledge, and capabilities requirements to enable skills-based role definition (e.g. Roles and skills matrix)
  6. Provide change leadership and support teams as they transition from current to new workflows
  7. Develop and standardize the organizational design framework such that it can be applied consistently across the enterprise including its supporting methodology, process, tools
  8. Serve as a trusted advisor to executives and business partners and provide org design input in support of strategy discussions

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Completion of a recognized bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in a related field (Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, HR, Organizational Psychology) preferred
  2. At least Five (5) years’ experience leading and delivering change management activities on enterprise scale initiatives spanning multiple lines of business
  3. Three (3) to Five (5) years’ of demonstrated experience in leading or facilitating industrial or organizational design activities for medium to large size organizations
  4. Formal training and/or certification in Change Management (PROSCI, CCMP) and Organization Development and Change (ODCP), or equivalent)
  5. Experiences in the Healthcare industry is an asset

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  1. Deep knowledge of organizational change management processes and proven ability to apply relevant methodologies and principles
  2. Familiarity with change tools and techniques, such as visualization methods, personas, user journeys, and human-centered design
  3. Strong facilitation, coaching, and interpersonal skills, along with a customer-centric mindset
  4. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience developing written materials and presentations for an executive leadership audience
  5. Capacity to synthesize complex information about business processes and systems into clear, concise impacts and benefits that can be effectively communicated through learning, presentation, and other materials
  6. Good understanding of healthcare service management, project management, and change management and redesign
  7. Ability to work with complex data, analyze it, and interpret it, and then present it with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  8. Demonstrated ability to communicate highly complex, sensitive, or contentious information effectively to individuals and large groups
  9. Effective negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decision making without direct management authority
  10. Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
  11. Collaborative, team-oriented mindset, and a desire to contribute actively to team capabilities and culture
  12. Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  13. Capacity to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results
