Job description
Our client a well-established company in the transport and logistics industry is looking for a bilingual, CPA, Assistant controller for his accounting department. As the assistant controller, you will report to the controller and oversee the month-end process, participate in the budgets, and work closely with other departments to build business cases on investments and even new product analysis. We are looking for a well-organized, fast learner, go-getter assistant controller with some supervision experience.
The position required 100% on-site presence in VSL free parking included.

Responsibilities
Support the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements.
Generate insightful financial reports to facilitate decision-making.
Collaborate in developing and monitoring annual budgets.
Assist in preparing financial forecasts for strategic planning.
Monitor and analyze costs related to transportation, fuel, and logistics operations.
Implement cost control measures to enhance financial performance.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal controls.
Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct financial analysis to support business initiatives and investment decisions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and procurement.
Mentor and support finance team members to enhance departmental capabilities.
Qualifications
CPA or a CPA Candidate with CFE passed
5+ years of experience
Bilingual
Very Strong in Excel ( able to build financials from extract in Excel)
Supervision experience
