Job description

We are looking for a Restaurant Supervisor to assist with overseeing the daily operational tasks of the restaurant, including team member management, sanitation and safety.
JOB DUTIES
- Coordinate team member selection, training, scheduling and development of direct reports and ensure all team members comply with appropriate policies and procedures.
- Assist with monitoring storage, preparation, cooking, handling and serving of all food and beverage products to ensure correct recipe, portion, and specification standards; control and minimize waste.
- Ensure proper food safety and cleanliness standards are observed at all times (including food temperatures, refrigerator temperatures, food storage and display).
- Represent the restaurant, as well as the resort, to the restaurant customers in a positive manner.
- Supervise the condition, repair and appearance of all equipment; report any malfunctions to the Restaurant Manager.
- Assist with coordinating daily and weekly menu specials based on food availability.
- Perform shift opening and closing duties as assigned such as starting equipment and cleaning the grill and surrounding area, as well as other kitchen equipment.
- Assist with handling customer complaints and problems in a professional manner.
- Work as scheduled and as necessary in any position in the restaurant, and perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Education (some HS education required)
- Minimum of one year restaurant supervisory experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of restaurant administration, food preparation and food safety
- Basic math skills
- Excellent customer service, organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
- Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and internet
