Job description

Our Victoria government client is seeking a seasoned Project Manager on a 12 month initial contract to drive a multi-year transformation journey. If you possess expertise in Agile project management, stakeholder collaboration, and organizational change, we invite you to join in shaping the future of government IT service delivery.

• Spearhead the evolution of IT service management operations through the Service Management Transformation Program (SMTP).
• Contribute to enhancing customer experience and optimizing shared government IT infrastructure.
• Utilize My Service Centre (My SC), a cloud-based IT service management tool powered by ServiceNow, to drive innovation.
• Engage with government employees, contracted resources, and client stakeholders to ensure successful program increments and service onboarding.
• Play a pivotal role in implementing best practices, standards, and future-facing services, impacting the delivery of critical government programs.

Responsibilities
• Provide oversight for the implementation of SMTP, including backlog grooming, prioritization, and net new service onboarding.

• Work closely with government employees, contracted resources, and client stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
• Implement and maintain standards for service management, following Agile-Scrum framework (SAFe) and Agile project methodologies.
• Lead the implementation of ServiceNow modules, portals, Service Catalogue, and integration with outside platforms and API's.
• Mentor and lead teams in resolving complex staff, client, and vendor issues, fostering a collaborative and solution-oriented environment.
• Lead organizational change associated with system or process implementations, facilitating smooth transitions and maximizing adoption.
• Direct and manage project requirements to ensure efficient, effective, and economical delivery of services, while also engaging in strategic business planning, contract management, and financial management.

Qualifications
• Degree, diploma, certification in Business Administration or Project Management.
• Minimum of 5 years of ServiceNow experience with developing solutions for large public sector organizations, which may include but is not limited to a Province, municipality, state, or federal government entity, with complex Service Portal and Request Fulfilment requirements; and
• Minimum of 5 years experience working on and collaborating with business stakeholders as well as other product delivery teams within an Agile-Scrum framework (SAFe) and with Agile project teams; and
• Minimum of 5 years participating in the implementation of Service Now modules, portals, Service Catalogue, outside platforms, API’s and well versed in release / program increment planning and management; and
• Minimum of 5 years experience mentoring, leading and resolving complex staff, client and vendor issues; and
• Minimum of 5 years experience establishing collaborative relationships at a strategic level with executives and contractors; and
• Minimum of 5 years experience leading organizational change associated with system or process implementations; and
• Minimum of 5 years experience designing and implementing new or major transformations of an organization’s core business with multiple delivery components (i.e. governance, operations, engineering, finance, customer service delivery); and
• Demonstrated experience in strategic business planning; contract management; financial management and leading multi-party negotiations; and
• Demonstrated experience in the directing, planning and management of project requirements to ensure efficient, effective and economical delivery of services.
