Responsibilities
- Perform payroll processing on a bi-weekly basis.
- Resolve routine payroll matters and liaise with pertinent parties for issue resolution.
- Maintain data compliance, promptly reporting any anomalies to the immediate supervisor.
- Enter pertinent data into the system, managing information for new hires, terminations, and changes, while also enrolling employees in diverse programs.
- Compile year-end and employment statements, along with tax forms.
- Stay abreast of legislative changes and internal policies affecting payroll, ensuring knowledge is current.
- Actively contribute to associated projects.
Qualifications
- Bilingual - Functional French and English (written and spoken)
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Paymaster role, demonstrating a strong grasp of current legislation in Quebec, Ontario, and New Brunswick, or the capability to swiftly acquire such knowledge.
- Proficient in the Office suite, with a particular emphasis on Excel and SAP (considered a valuable asset).
- Demonstrated collaborative, dependable, methodical, and rigorous work approach.
- Possesses an analytical mindset with a comprehensive understanding of payroll intricacies.
- Exemplifies discretion and maintains an impeccable work ethic.
- Exhibits effective oral and written communication skills with a customer-centric focus.
- Membership in the Canadian Payroll Association is viewed as an asset.
