Job description
FLINT is seeking a talented Planner Scheduler to become a valuable addition to our team at our client site in Port Moody. In this position, your primary responsibility will be to plan and create Project and production schedules for the maintenance project. Collaborating with various levels of supervision, you'll ensure that maintenance activities are meticulously planned and executed safely and thoroughly. This involves developing the sequence and lead time to align with the client's forecasted master schedule.
This is a Permanent role based in our Vancouver office.

What would you be doing?
- Take the lead to facilitate the project's effective front-end planning, construction, and turnover phases.
- Review RFQ and Project documentation to determine optimal execution sequencing.
- You will work with Site Managers and project teams to lead an effective project schedule.
- Generate and maintain Primavera P6, and MS Project schedules.
- Coordinate all outside services, monitoring the flow of parts to and from external service providers and suppliers.
- Prepare progress reports to reveal progress and produce an "S" curve, Earned Value, and histograms.
- Provide project cost estimates and cost analysis.
- Maintain a master schedule for each project and identify and record the impact of work. performed and not performed as scheduled.
- Incorporate client milestones and schedules into the scheduling system.
- Responsible for the delivery of periodic project reports.
- Oversee the progress and productivity of all aspects of the project, with the ability to recognize areas of concern and develop/propose solutions in a time-sensitive manner.
- Review contractor schedules and ensure contractor plans are realistic and achievable.

- Local to Vancouver/Port Moody area
- Excellent knowledge of project planning and scheduling.
- Experienced in Industrial Energy Sector execution methods and sequencing.
- Familiar with fabrication and construction practices
- Superb organizational skills.
- High-level proficiency in Primavera and MS Project software.
- Ability to interpret, evaluate and apply regulations, policies and procedures to various work situations.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications.
- Post-secondary degree in a related technical field or combination of training and experience deemed appropriate for the role.
- Minimum 5 years planning experience in a related industrial role.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
