Job description

Niagara Health is entering an era of great opportunity and we are looking for exceptional individuals to be part of our extraordinary future. As a valued member of the ICT Transformation Team, the Junior Project Manager will play a valuable role in managing projects that will deliver business objectives and change initiatives at the departmental level while remaining on time, on scope and on budget. The assigned projects can include but not limited to; implementation of new software, upgrades/enhancements to existing software, business/clinical process changes that require the rigour of project management. The successful candidate will apply project management knowledge, expertise and interpersonal skills to execute projects to successful completion using our enterprise project management methodologies and tools.

QUALIFICATIONS:
o College Diploma specializing in business, project management or a health related field and/or 1-3 years equivalent work experience
o CAPM or PMP designation
o Experience in a health care/public sector
o Demonstrated experience in Project Management including project budget management
o Proven ability to communicate project status to various stakeholders related to project execution
o Experience with Microsoft Suite including MS Project and Microsoft Project Web Access
o Accountable to provide expertise surrounding change management and end user adoption
o Ability to estimate development efforts and define activities to support project deliverables and establish milestones which will be continually evaluated and prioritized
o Demonstrated ability to handle a large and diversified workload with often rapidly changing priorities and challenging deadlines
o Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate in a meaningful way
o Ability to exercise independent judgment and take action
o Exceptional analytical, conceptual and problem solving abilities
o Highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail
o Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, coaching and negotiation
o Consistent and regular attendance required
o Proficiency in both official languages (English & French) will be considered an asset
