Are you looking for a Full - Time Permanent Opportunity to showcase your business development skills?
We are looking for a Business Development Specialist for our team in Mississauga. Reporting to the Branch Sales Manager, you will be responsible and accountable for the achievement of net revenue growth through the generation of new business. By identifying, targeting, and closing sales opportunities, you will build relationships with new and existing Drake clients.

What you do:
- Assisting in the planning, preparation, and implementation of marketing plans for the development of new and existing business.
- Identifying, securing, and managing new clients and sales opportunities through effective management of vertical priorities and the Drake sales workflow.
- Ensuring key influencers and decision-makers in existing and potential accounts are identified and targeted through personal and business networks as well as proactive research.
- Working with the proposal team to identify potential RFPs and/or proactive proposals.
- Ensuring adherence to pricing / Standard Net Margin guidelines as determined by relevant authorities.
- Conducting problem and decision analysis and appraising operating results in terms of cost, variance from budget, trends, and increased profit possibilities.
- Adhering to the principles through which CATM accounts are assigned and ensuring that Drake’s procedures and policies are maintained and monitored for effective functioning.
- Maintaining a system of regular review by individual account to measure the effectiveness of sales activity and marketing strategies, implementing corrective action on any accounts not achieving revenue objectives.
- Ensuring client special requests and instructions are strictly adhered to, taking quick action on any complaints.
- Ensuring Client Account History Files are completed and updated accurately in the appropriate platform for every contact made and planned with the client.
- Conducting Risk Assessments on client sites as per provincial Workplace Health & Safety Acts.
- Ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures and training manuals and adhering to Quality Control policies.
Who you are:
- Minimum 2 years of Business-to-Business sales experience.
- Experience in the Staffing Industry preferred.
- Superior organizational and relationship building skills.
- Proactive thinker who recognizes and understands our business strategy.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proven success record of achieving revenue and profit objectives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
