Job description
Mèreon is a new French Bistro that opened in West Vancouver. As we are looking into expanding and growing we are seeking an experienced and creative Bartender to join our team and run our bar at night. If you have a minimum of 3 years of bartending experience, possess excellent mixology skills, and are passionate about delivering an outstanding guest experience, we want to hear from you.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Bartender with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will have a flair for mixology, creative topping and presentation skills for cocktails, and the ability to craft and execute signature drinks. In addition to tending the bar, the Bartender will also be responsible for providing exceptional service to bar guests, including serving food and other offerings.
Responsibilities:
Craft and execute a variety of signature cocktails, demonstrating creativity in both flavor profiles and presentation.
Ensure the bar area is well-stocked with a diverse selection of spirits, mixers, garnishes, and other necessary ingredients.
Provide exceptional customer service to bar guests, taking food orders, and delivering a seamless overall experience.
Showcase creative topping and presentation skills for cocktails, maintaining the visual appeal of our beverage offerings.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and bar tools.
Engage with guests, offering recommendations, and creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.
Adhere to responsible alcohol service practices and ensure the well-being of guests.
Collaborate with the kitchen and waitstaff to coordinate food service for bar guests.
Stay informed about current beverage trends, industry developments, and new product offerings.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of bartending experience in a high-volume and upscale environment.
Strong mixology skills and the ability to create and execute signature cocktails.
Creative topping and presentation skills for cocktails.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
Knowledge of beverage and food pairing.
Certification in responsible beverage service is a must
