Roofing Project Manager

Position:
United Roofing Inc is looking to hire a full-time Roofing Project Manager for our office in Calgary. The overall task is to manage the day-to-day activity of roofing crews to ensure efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. Our overall operation involves, roofing, traffic coating, cladding, and waterproofing throughout the Calgary area. The typical working hours required are from 6am to 4pm Monday to Friday or as needed to ensure efficiency of all crews, and job sites.
Job description:
- Manage up to eight roofing crews with roughly six to ten workers per crew.
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the roofing crews and overall.
- Manage daily activity/request/need of the workforce.
- Create weekly schedule.
- Create supplier’s PO and pre-start foreman’s binder.
- Review the change order process as required, with the assistance of the project coordinator.
- Attend every job site at least once a week to review progress, quality, and budget assurance checks.
- Attend required pre-start or site meetings that require the presence of the PM.
- Review of the labour budget on ongoing basis and project completion.
- Work closely with the site superintendent and the project coordinator.
Requirements:
- Have minimum 5 years of commercial roofing experience.
- Previous construction management role experience is an asset.
- Must be familiar with all type of commercial roofing systems.
- Fluent in English.
- High computer and documents formatting skills.
- Safety tickets: Fall Protection, WHMIS, etc. – Training can/will be provided for the hired candidate, in the course of employment.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
