Our private sector client, a community animal protection organization, is seeking a Senior Human Resources Manager to join their team on a permanent, on-site basis.

Salary range: $90,000-$100,000
About you
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 6+ years of experience working in human resources management
- 2+ years of staff management experience
- Post-secondary degree in Human Resources or related
- To work on-site, in Ottawa, five days a week
- Experience with HRIS systems - ADP is preferred
About the role
If hired, you will perform HR management tasks with a focus on project management and data analysis, such as:
- Managing HR functions, including performance, development, recruitment, onboarding, training, off-boarding, relations, health and safety, recognition, retention, and engagement
- Leading and evaluating projects supporting functional areas of responsibility
- Gathering and analyzing data to identify trends and projections
- Developing tactics and strategies to achieve department and organizational goals
- Implementing and evaluating HR SOPs, documents, and forms
- Collaborating with management to identify and evaluate HR needs
- Assisting in staff recruitment, management, and termination
- Ensuring accuracy and integrity of HRIS database and records
- Supporting collective bargaining and ensuring compliance with the agreement
- Administering employee accommodation, complaints, harassment, and whistleblower policies
- Implementing internet and external communication strategies for promotional plans and act on employee feedback
- Delivering verbal and writer presentations
- Participating in necessary meetings
