Warehouse Supervisor (Afternoon Shift) - Mississauga, ON.

Position: Warehouse Supervisor - Afternoon Shift.
Location: Mississauga, ON.
Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year (depending on experience and qualifications).
Status: Permanent / Full-Time.
Industry: Industrial / Warehouse/ Automotive / Logistics.
Shift : Afternoons.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of unionized warehouse employees, including delegation of tasks, training, coaching, and directing corrective action to resolve day-to-day operational issues.
- Plans, communicates, and executes daily shift work plan outlining work assignments.
- Continuously monitor the performance and activities of the warehouse using KPIs with a primary focus on cost controls.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and conduct periodic spot-checks of inventory levels, supplies, or equipment.
- Ensure all orders are shipped to customers in a timely manner including investigation of lost or damaged shipments.
- Other tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Diploma, degree or post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of work experience in a supervisory role ideally in a unionized warehouse environment.
- A proven leader with strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Direct working knowledge of operations, warehouse management, and transportation management.
- Experience with MS Office, radio frequency ID systems (RFID), bar code systems, and electronic data interchange (EDI) is an asset.
- Able to report to an Afternoon shift.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written.
