Job description

Position: Production Quality Technician – Plastic Industry
Location: Laval

An international manufacturer is seeking a Production Quality Technician for their Laval plant. They are offering a competitive salary according to experience, full benefits, RRSP package, flexible hours and opportunity for advancement within a dynamic working environment.

In this role, you will be supporting production in a variety of tasks such as:

- Supporting production in quality processes to ensure production meets quality standards
- Maintaining production technical documents relating (work instructions, procedures, technical content of work orders, etc.)
- Anticipating and overcoming obstacles which may hinder quality production
- Performing quality audits to ensure compliance and understanding of production procedures
- Participating in raw material inventory management
- Performing product testing such as preparing equipment, products and solutions necessary for carrying out analyses
- Performing process related to the process for ensuring quality product such as handling, calibrating, confirming dosages, noting observation, record keeping on data and analysis of findings
- Communicating with the team
- Providing technical assistance and insight regarding operation of devices
- Participating in the design of various equipment, devices, prototypes, mechanical parts and assembly tool
- Diagnosing and problem solving on production-related problems
- Participating in employee training programs

Requirements:

- Must have at least 1-3 years of experience in a relevant position related to production quality within the  plastics industry
- Education in plastics, composite or related is an important asset
- Fluency in French is a required
- Must reside in or near Laval and be well-situated for daily work onsite
