Mission                                                          

Join our renowned Bridges and Engineering Structures team as a site supervising technician within the great Transportation Group. The incumbent will contribute to numerous projects involving the rehabilitation, supervision and inspection of structures related to bridges, culverts, retaining walls and tunnels.    

Primary Responsibilities

• Supervise construction work and ensure compliance with drawings and specifications   
• Compare completed work with drawings and specifications, control the quality and quantities of materials and prepare daily reports   
• Prepare documents required for requests for payment    
• Act as liaison between drafters and the construction site to resolve problems, ensure follow-ups and manage the interests and expectations of the various stakeholders    
• Draft notices to contractors to ensure compliance with contract clauses   
• Implement all measures required to ensure compliance with laws and regulations or written directives related to construction  

• DCS in Civil Engineering or a related field    
• 5 years of experience in structures (bridges, engineering structures, buildings)   
• Safety on Construction Sites training (ASP card)  
• Construction and Repair of Structures course (MTQ) is an asset   
• AQTR training in Supervision and monitoring of traffic control devices on construction sites (STC-102) is an asset  
• Familiarity with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)  
• Proficiency in French and English (oral and written)  
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
