Job description

As an Email Marketing Campaign Specialist you will play a pivotal role in translating approved marketing strategies into actionable deliverables, ultimately driving client success. With a focus on B2B communications, you will be responsible for executing and optimizing email marketing campaigns that align with the overarching strategy. Your expertise will be crucial in breaking down complex plans into tangible tasks, ensuring seamless implementation and measurable results. This role demands a strategic thinker who can navigate the intricacies of B2B marketing, manage client expectations, and deliver impactful email campaigns that contribute to client satisfaction and business growth.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Translate approved B2B email marketing strategies into actionable and measurable deliverables.

• Regularly identify trends and email marketing strategies

• Conduct thorough analysis of campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

• Monitor, measure and report the effectiveness of campaigns and other marketing initiatives against success metrics

• Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in B2B email marketing.

• Generate high-impact ideas and suggestions for reaching audience with resonant messaging

• Consult with clients to meet KPIs, and support strategies with effective email tactics.

• Obtain a thorough understanding of each client's market, audience, products, and competitive differentiators to develop recommendations aimed at increasing brand awareness and named account engagement

• Use customer data such as web-behavior to drive campaign themes with a focus on content personalization.

• Devise and execute A/B tests, manage testing calendar, record results, and advise on improvements. Testing includes subject lines, message content, CTAs, customer cohorts and segments, send time, and new features intended to drive performance lift.

• Work in partnership with Strategist to optimize email creative and template structure based on best practices.

• Constantly look for ways to improve overall programs through new technology, tools, partners, trends, and best practices.

• Effectively communicate with clients, managing expectations and ensuring client satisfaction.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Required B2B environment experience.

• Experience building a tactical email marketing campaign strategy from scratch.

• Proven 3-5 years' experience translating email marketing strategies into actionable and measurable deliverables.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Strong knowledge of market research, surveys, and data analytics

• Proficient in data analytics to determine important data and be able to suggest improvements.

• Hands-on experience in marketing automation platforms.

• Detailed knowledge of email regulations, best practices, and compliance internationally in various regulatory regimes (e.g., GDPR or CASL). 

• Proven work experience in growing, engaging with, and analyzing the performance of a large email marketing database. 

• Hands-on experience with marketing software and analytic tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau, Eloqua, HubSpot, Web Trends, etc. • Excellent written communication skills. 

• Effective client communication, project management skills and exceptional attention to detail.

EDUCATION 

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in marketing, communications, or related field

• Strong understanding of direct marketing concepts, email marketing, marketing, and sales funnels. 

• Technical expertise with a solid ability to stay current with industry trends and provincial and federal privacy legislative policies and changes.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively deliver projects and services. 

• Capable of multitasking within a fast-paced demanding environment.

• Solid knowledge transfer skills.

• Professional services office environment

• Using a computer keyboard, monitor and mouse for extended periods of time

• Travel within Canada and USA may be required for events: 20%
