This posting will be used to fill 1 permanent full-time position working 75 hours bi-weekly.

This job is based in the thriving and diverse city of Whitehorse in the beautiful Yukon.

Who we are looking for

The Director of Cultural Safety is a key member of the Senior Management Team. The Director leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Health and Social Services system’s approach with regard to cultural safety with a focus on collaboration, training and advancing reconciliation within the department and the health and social services system. This position provides leadership, guidance, direction, and support on cultural safety, relationship building, innovation, and change management to support the advancement of reconciliation and cultural safety within Health and Social Services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to build relationships with employees and external stakeholders to support the goals of cultural safety and humility; foster a climate that respects and values diversity, lead change in a fast paced and changing environment, and will demonstrate strong self awareness and exceptional interpersonal skills.
